Novice (2011) Division Update and Call for Coach Applications
Submitted By Melissa Wolk on Friday, January 11, 2019
Starting in the 2019-2020 season, Hockey Canada has mandated players 8-years-old and under will participate in modified-ice games.  As things have continued to evolve with the implementation of these changes, it has now been determined that 2019-2020 Novice teams will now be selected in the spring (originally they were to be selected in the Fall of 2019).

With this most recent update, the ORHC will plan to ice three Novice rep teams (Novice 1, Novice 2, Novice 3) and will follow a similar process to that followed in the selection of this season's Tyke 1 and Tyke 2 teams.  Interested applicants to coach  a Novice Rep team are asked to submit a 2019-2020 Coach Application form by Thursday January 31, 2019.

As per the Hockey Canada modified-ice mandate, 2011 born players will start the 2019-2020 season playing half-ice games and will graduate to full-ice games in January 2020.  More updates will be given as they become available.
