GTHL Suspends Programming - What does this mean for the Rangers?
Based on the number of phone calls and emails we received over
the weekend and today, many of you saw the press release from the GTHL
announcing that they will be suspending their programming until at least
January 2021.
What does this mean for Oakville Rangers programming? At present time, nothing. The OMHA, who the Oakville Rangers are governed under, has given no indication at this time that they plan to follow the GTHL and also suspend programming. We have been directed to proceed with our programming as planned.
Currently Oakville Ranger programming at both the rep and house league level is at maximum capacity. Unfortunately, we do not have the ice availability or resources to expand our programming in order to take any of the displaced Oakville residents who were playing in the GTHL. We do however have some available goalie positions for any displaced Oakville resident goalies from the GTHL. Please contact the office if you are interested.
We will continue to monitor this situation closely and provide any updates as they arise.
