Team captain Jack got the Flames fired up before the game this week.
The boys have been working on using the boards to clear the zone and are doing it consistently. Really the only negative aspect to the game was in being unable to contain the individual efforts of one player who was able to get away for several breakaways and ended up scoring all but one goal for the Kings.
Some great news was that despite being down early in the game, the Flames didn't give up and were able to generate some offensive pressure. Our defense did a good job keeping the puck in their blue line resulting in some scoring chances. We also had a few of our own rushes that we just couldn't pull the trigger on.
It is hard to lose 8 - 0 but the best thing about today's game in my opinion was that from the goalie on out none of the boys let it get them down.
