Mustangs Win March Madness
The Minor Peewee Red Mustangs entered the Aurora March
Madness tournament this past weekend and came home with Gold.
The team went undefeated in the tournament with a 4-0-1 record. Behind the solid goaltending of Christian Toris, the team only allowed 5 goals for the weekend. The Mustangs defeated the Ripley Wolves, tied the Peterborough Kings in a hard fought game and beat the London Nationals in pool play. In the playoffs, the Mustangs dominated winning decisively over Orillia and claiming the Championship in a 5-1 win over Cambridge in the finals. The team consists of Christian Toris, Cormac Adams, Jacob Carroll, Will Dodge, Brendan Geary, Connor Gittens, Griffin James, Elliott Jansen, Ben Kim, Hayden Munshaw, Jack Schiller, Steven Skjarum, Payton Travers, Ethan Turner, and Luke Vincent. Head Coach is Kevin Adams, Assistant coaches are Mark Vincent, Steve Gittens, Dave Munshaw. Team managers are Karley Gittens and Paul Toris.
