The most exciting part of the Tyke level is watching players develop very rapidly over the course of month's. And the Penguins are no exception.
Our game vs. the white team on November 23rd is a good example. Our resident "Sniper" Marco was taking his turn in net and the rest of the team under took the responsibility to play their roles and get the job done. Strong defensive play and some excellent scoring opportunities by our forwards generated the result of a
"W".
We have now created a foundation of effort and understanding and our next step is to continue each players skating development. The rest of the game builds from their skating ability we will need to stretch their current skills in the upcoming months.
Any ice time is good ice time at this age and, if possible, please enjoy some public skating with your Black Penguin. Don't forget your Jersey.
My favourite public skating time is Monday's at 16 mile arena at 6:15 PM. It's our favourite mainly because after a good work out the restaurant upstairs has an excellent "basket o fries" to share (and a very refreshing beverage to NOT!!).
