A
good preseason start for the Oakville Atom A –White Rangers hockey team as they
shutout the Vaughan Rangers 13-0 in the finals to win the championship of the
recent Bill Reaman Humberview Early Bird A Invitational Tournament.
Oakville won its four other games at the competition as well, allowing only 2 goals against in total. The two goalies combined for 3 shutouts in the tournament. Tournament MVP also went to Simon McCabe of the Oakville Ranger squad.
Members of the team are Jasper Van Schie, Nicholas McNevin, Ben Campbell, Alexander Georgiou, Brodigh Maandag, Blake Power, Kalan Brophy, Luciano Checchia, Tyler Van Laare, Sean Covert, Lucas Mathers, Stevie Flynn, Simon McCabe, Michael Siountres, Blake Cooper, Noah Bulger, and Rian Meisner.
Randy Meisner, Peter Bulger, Ian McNevin and Andrew Mathers coach the team. Brent Van Laare is the Trainer and Todd Brophy is the manager.
