…That’s what it boiled down to last night between the
Oakville Atom A White team vs New Hamburg Huskies. Winner would move on to the OMHA
Quarterfinals.
New Hamburg beat Oakville in the first of 2 scheduled games in the preliminary round and it justifiably fitting both teams would meet again in the last game of each of their schedules of the qualifying round. With Oakville at home, the mighty White dominated the game for a decisive 6-2 win over the playoff strong Huskies.
No rest for the weary, as the Rangers will now face Owen Sound Jr Attack in a best of 5 OMHA Quarterfinal series beginning Saturday February 7th in Owen Sound to see which team will represent the Tri-County league in the OMHA Atom A Semifinals. Game 2 will be back in Oakville on Sunday the 8th at 2pm Joshua Creek (Red) arena. Come out to support our local team’s effort during the OMHA Playdowns.
