It was a heartbreak of a day.
Despite leaving it all on the ice, it just wasn't in the cards.
The Avalanche played one of their best playoff games yet, unfortunately it just wasn't in the cards for a win today. The boys laid their hearts out on the ice and kept the pressure on. A few unlucky breakaways inched Orange Crush to the win.
It was an amazing game. The boys should be holding their heads up proud! They played as a team the entire team with each and everyone of them putting their hearts into their shifts. It was a true team effort!
What an amazing season! So looking forward to the end of year party!
Celebrate tonight boys!

Undefeated through the Round Robin
Unbelievable win today against Black
The Avalanche go into the Semis undefeated through the round robin. The underdogs have now risen to the top and are ready for yet another match up against Orange Crush.
The boys are clicking on all cylinders and keeping the pressure on in every opponents end! It might be late in the season but the Avalanche are ready to bring it once again!
Stay true to who you are. Stay classy and the win is yours boys!

Unbelievable Weekend for the Avalanche!
What a Family / Valentines Day weekend!
Packed with early morning games, great competition and a trophy win!
The Oakville Avalanche should be extremely
proud of themselves and the way they showed teams from across Ontario what MOHA
is all about - Team Spirit, Fair Play and the ultimate in Sportsmanship.
This was an action packed weekend with 4 games against the Fort Henry Paladins,
Pt Edward Blackhawks and Durham Crusaders. Each team brought their 'A'
games, but the Avalanche stayed true to who they are and played like a team for
200 mins over the course of the weekend.
In the end that amazing Tyke Trophy was theirs to celebrate. The first
names ever to grace the trophy will be those of the Oakville Avalanche from
MOHA! Hearts were burst with pride.
Well done boys!
Now on to MOHA playoffs. Let's keep the mojo going
and leave it all out on the ice!

Excellent display of Sportsmanship today
This second came called for a real show of sportsmanship
The Pt Edward Blackhawks played their hardest today against the Oakville Avalanche, however the Avalanche were on top of their game and brought home a second win.
The coaching staff is very proud of the level of sportsmanship showed by the Avalanche as they were lighting up the scoreboard they acknowledge how the Blackhawks were feeling and were very graceful with each goal keeping the celebrations for the changeroom. Very grown up of all of you.
Tomorrow is another day for all the teams. The Avalanche will be off for game 3 of this 4 game weekend. Lets hope they can keep the wins coming.

What a great start!
It was an early morning but a successful one.
The Bob Black tournament might have started before the sun came up this morning here in Oshawa, but that had no effect on the Oakville Avalanche.
The Avalanche dominated the play in the Fort Henry Jr Paladin's end of the rink for the entire game, only allowing 4 shots on the Avalanche goalie. Defence was strong and the forwards had wings on their skates today. Passing was perfectly timed and every chance to shoot the puck was taken.
Absolutely fantastic team play.
3 more games to go!
