Oakville Silver Wolves Victorious in Select Tournament
The Oakville Silver Wolves came out on top, wining gold at the Amesbury/Bert Robinson Winter Classic Select Tournament on January 22.
The Wolves came out strong, winning by an astounding 7-0 over the Willowdale Blackhawks. The next two games saw defeat, with the Kitchener Jr Rangers edging the Wolves by a score of 4-2, and the Mimico Canadiens winning 6-3. Not a team to admit defeat, the Wolves rallied back with a semi-final 6-1 win over Kitchener, landing them a spot in the finals vs tournament first place finisher, the Mimico Canadiens. The final game saw the Wolves win 4-3 over the Canadiens - way to go Wolves!
The Silver Wolves consist of Cameron, Carter, Jake C, Jake T, Jakob, Joshua, Keith, Kenneth, Matthew L, Matthew J, Michael, Nathan H, Nathan K, Nathan T and William. Coaches are Dave Large, Ross Trimble, and Sean Thompson, assisted by Trainer Roman Nowickyj.
