Minor Peewee AAA Won the Tom Wilson GTHL Classic Tournament.
We went 3-1 in round robin,
defeating North York Rangers and Nepean Raiders both 5-1, the Toronto Young
Nationals 2-1, and the only loss coming to the Whitby Wildcats 2-1. In the
Quarter Finals we beat the Toronto Red Wings 2-1 in OT, Semi Finals we got our
revenge on Whitby beating them 4-1, and in the Finals we beat Don Mills Flyers
4-1. In the 7 games we played, our team only allowed 8 goals against.
As the coaching staff, we couldn't be more proud of how our players have come together as a team so early in the season: sacrificing to block shots and sharing the puck with great movement. We even had players receiving MVP of the Game awards (selected by the opposing coach) who were then awarding them to teammates when we got to the dressing room saying their teammate deserved to have the award. The character this team has showed early on is tremendous, and it's showing with this tournament win and with the 6-1-1 start we've had to regular season.
