ORHC Advanced League Program Overview:
- Offered for U10** to U18 age groups, determined annually, dependent on interest / skill level.
- Teams formed based on a tryout process.
- No "Red/Blue" teams, teams formed using a balanced snake draft process, while making an effort to keep previous season teams "core" groups together. 'A' teams will select first, followed by Red/Select teams.
- Tryouts take place in late May/early June following OMHA Rep Tryouts- Please see below for the full tryout schedule for 2024.
- Players MUST register for the Advanced League package in order to try out
- Teams represent Oakville in the Mississauga Hockey League (MHL) Red/Select and Rep A divisions ("A" division offers a similar competition level to OMHA/GTHL A-Rep).
- Players ONLY play on this team.
- Time commitment of approx. 3-4 hours each week on ice.
- Set schedule provided by the Mississauga Hockey League.
- Some home games in Oakville, with a mix of games played at rinks in Mississauga (Erindale, Meadowvale, Clarkson, Port Credit, etc.), Etobicoke (George Bell Arena), Milton (MSC) and, Brampton (CAA Centre)
- Practice ice in Oakville weekly.
- Players DO NOT have to reside in Oakville (Please allow up to 5 business days for a transfer to be completed if you did not play with the Rangers last season or transfers can be requested at the following link https://oakvillerangers.ca/Forms/5185/)
- Additional team assessment fee to cover cost of premium jerseys, full ice practices, tournaments, etc
- Players not selected to a team will have their registration package switched to the Rangers House League program automatically. No need to submit a second registration package.
** U10 and U11 will feature a mixed cohort playing in the U11 Red/Select division
