U12 Select Tournament Champs!
Congratulations to the Oakville Rangers U12- House League Select team on their big weekend at the Amesbury Winter Classic.
The U12 Rangers opened the tournament with a heartbreaking 4-0 defeat against the LP-Clarkson Wild.
Going into a pair of must win games on Saturday the team was able to rise to the occasion defeat the George Bell Titans and the Applewood Coyotes by scores of 4-1 and 2-0 to punch their ticket to semi-final Sunday.
The Rangers prevailed 1-0, in overtime, in a tough and hard fought semi-final battle against the Erindale Spitfires to earn their place in the championship game against Applewood.
The Rangers and Coyotes would battle to a 1-1 tie deep into the 3rd period before some late heroics from the Rangers would see the go ahead goal scored with just 9.4 seconds remaining- sending the team and their fans into a frenzy!
