All U14 players (born in 2011) as well as any U15 (born 2010) and older who have never attended a Body Contact Clinic are required to attend a Body Contact Clinic before attending a Rep Tryout. You will not be allowed to try out if you have not completed the clinic. Goalies are exempt from this requirement.
The ORHC Body Contact Clinics are included with your Tryout Registration fee, but you must be registered for the ORHC Tryouts to participate. Clinic sizes are restricted and will fill up quickly. Please be sure to register early to ensure you get the date and time you want.
It is not mandatory that you attend an Oakville Body Contact Clinic - only that you attend one. Many players attend Pre-Tryout Camps, most of which include a Body Contact Clinic, and a separate clinic was already provided to many of the 2023/24 Oakville Rangers teams. If you have completed a Body Contact Clinic elsewhere please notify Nathan McAnsh ([email protected]) so your application can be updated to reflect that the requirement has been met.
The Oakville Rangers are providing 4 Contact Clinics for the 2024 ORHC Tryouts, dates and times are listed below. As mentioned above, space in these clinics is limited. If you are not able to attend one of the clinics listed below, it is your responsibility to complete the clinic elsewhere. Notify Nathan McAnsh ([email protected]) once complete so your application can be updated to reflect that the requirement has been met.
As space is limited, we would ask that you only attend the Body Contact Clinic if you need to. If you have already completed a Clinic elsewhere, please do not attend the Oakville Clinic as well "just to get some extra ice". We appreciate you want to get on the ice as much as you can - we do too! But in doing so, you may be taking a spot away from someone who actually needs the Clinic and will now be scrambling to find somewhere else they can take it. We appreciate your understanding.
Please note that the BB Divisions are non-contact. If you are only trying out for BB and not A or higher you are not required to attend a Body Contact Clinic.

If you played on a U13 Oakville Rangers Team for the 2023/24 season please see below
Many of the 2023/24 U13 Oakville Ranger Teams were provided a Body Contact Clinic prior to the end of their season. We have the attendance from these clinics - no further action is needed on your part, you are good to go.
When you register for the 2024 ORHC Tryouts, the Tryout Portal is going to tell you that you have to attend a Contact Clinic and prompt you to select one of the clinics above. You can disregard this – do not register for a Contact Clinic. The ORHC Office is aware that you have already completed this requirement and will update your Tryout Application to reflect that the requirement has been met. If you missed the Contact Clinic with your team, however, you will need to register and attend one of the Tryout Contact Clinic sessions.
