The Oakville Rangers Prep Academy offers a best-in-class hockey development opportunity for U7, U8 and U9 participants to prepare these players for Oakville Rangers Rep Hockey from U10 to U18. The ORHC Prep Academy MD Teams will participate in a regional based loop managed by the Tri-County Minor Hockey League including Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills, Flamborough, and more. Some of the highlights you can expect are:

- Season wrap-up Gala weekends
- A number of Jamborees that will also feature teams from outside of Tri-County
- Exhibition games and the ability to participate in other jamborees/tournaments
The Oakville Rangers Prep Academy offers an elite experience focused on player development. This includes building technical skills, tactical understanding, physical fitness and mental acuity. There is no better hockey development available that combines the best of hometown hockey, tiered competition, professional development, and fun with friends. This is a Hockey Canada-sanctioned and Hockey Canada Pathway-approved environment, aimed at preparing players for Oakville Rangers Rep Hockey beginning at U10.
You MUST BE registered for the Jr Rangers to attend Evaluations, and you MUST BE registered for Evaluations to be considered for the ORHC Prep Academy MD Teams - this is separate from your Jr Rangers Registration for the upcoming season.
In addition to being registered for the Junior Rangers for the upcoming 2024/25 season, you also MUST BE an Oakville resident. The OMHA classifies the Prep Academy Teams as "Minor Development", otherwise known as MD. And the OMHA requires all MD Teams to be "Residentially Compliant", which means they are not allowed to take "Import" or "Non-Resident" players.
The 2024/25 ORHC Prep Academy Evaluation Registration Fee is $75. You MUST BE registered for the Jr Rangers to attend Evaluations, and you MUST BE registered for Evaluations to be considered for the ORHC Prep Academy MD Teams - this is separate from your Jr Rangers Registration for the upcoming season.
To register for the 2024/25 ORHC Prep Academy Evaluations please go to the ORHC Tryout Portal at tryouts.oakvillerangers.ca/. The ORHC Tryout Portal is used by ORHC Coaches and Staff and by Tryout Applicants to manage their Tryout Process for the Oakville Rangers. The ORHC Prep Academy Team Selection Process is not a "Tryout" - this is an "Evaluation". But the tools provided by this Tryout Portal are still going to be very useful for both you and the Coaches/Evaluators, and so the Tryout Portal will be utilized for this Evaluation Process as well.
The 2024/25 ORHC Prep Academy Evaluation Schedule is also located in the ORHC Tryout Portal at tryouts.oakvillerangers.ca/schedule/. Be sure to check the schedule regularly in the days leading up to your Evaluation in case there are any modifications made.
Registration is Open Until...
Registration closes 24-hours prior to the first skate. For example, the first U7 Session is on Sunday, September 8th at 12:00pm - registration for the U7 Division will close on Saturday, September 7th at 12:00pm.

I can not make it to an Evaluation Skate...
If you are not able to make it to one of your Evaluation Skates, please use the email address listed above to notify your Division's Coaches and Evaluators.
Request a Refund...
If you change your mind and would like to request a refund please return to the ORHC Tryout Portal, log into your account, and click on Tryouts I Registered For. To the right of your Application will be a black Refund button. This option will be available until the Registration for that Division closes, 24 hours prior to the first session. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER THE EVALUATIONS HAVE BEGUN!.
Split Sessions...
The first several Evaluation Skates are "Split Sessions". A Split Session is when a single Evaluation Session is split into two individual skates. For example, the U7 Session on Septmber 8th is a Split Session at 12:00pm and 1:00pm. This is a single Evaluation, but half of the participants would go to the 12pm skate and the other half to the 1pm skate. In the event of a Split Session you will receive an email either the evening prior or the morning of the Split Session to inform you which of the skates you are to attend.
The U7, U8, and U9 ORHC Prep Academy Prep-Skates are optional skates that will give players an opportunity to hit the ice and have some fun before diving into their Evaluation! Participation is optional and there will be NO EVALUATIONS conducted during these Prep Skates. Each session is 50-minutes long at a cost of $29, and will be run by professional instructors. We are offering 2 skates per Division, one on Friday, September 6th and one on Saturday, September 7th. The complete schedule and links to register for the Prep-Skates are listed below.
