The Red Bulls entered this match having played to a 2-2 tie the night before. The Black Beards enter the playoffs hoping to catch fire in the round robin round.

The Beards came out strong, with Andrew Melamed scoring on the first shift.

In the second, the line of Melamed, Talon Mitchelson and Connor Southward dominated, but the Red Bulls William Kasslack scored the only goal of the period on a good solo effort.

The Black Beard fans held their breath through the final period as their team held their own, just missing on a couple of occasions with Sebastian De Silva playing well in net at the other end.

Alas, with two minutes remaining the Red Bulls Luke Mason broke through to score the winning marker.
