The Black Beards needed at least a tie in this, their third playoff game. Any team with three losses would be eliminated from contention for the Championship Game.

The Blizzards Head Coach Andrew Cockwell stated that he too was hoping for the Beards to win a playoff game, "Just not against us."

The Black Beards, as has been their style the last few games, started out strong. They almost scored on their first shift for the second game in a row. They did manage to connect on the third shift when Sebastian McClay grabbed a loose puck just inside the blue line and moved right in on goal, finishing with a nice shot to give his team the lead.

Late in the first the Blizzard tied it up when Daniel Tremblay's shot along the ice eluded the Black Beards goalkeeper. A drive by the black shirts Andrew Melamed with seconds remaining in the opening frame hit the post.

Early in the second Andrew Palucci's long shot put the Blizzard in front.

With eleven seconds remaining a shot by Melamed went wide, but bounced off the back boards and came right out in front to Talon Mitchelson, who fired home the rebound to enter the third period with the teams deadlocked at two.

Early in the third the Beards goalkeeper got turned around during a goalmouth scramble and Tremblay capitalized for his second of the game.

The Beards pulled their goalie with 1:53 remaining and fought hard, applying good pressure, but could not score.

The final was 3-2 for the Blizzard, giving them two victories against one loss in the playoffs so far, dropping the Black Beards to 0-3.
