The Convenor was occupied for the first two games with managing the Picture Day process, but can deduce from catching bits and pieces of the action, speaking with parents and coaches afterward and from the game sheets; that the two games, both 3-3 ties, were good games between evenly matched opponents.
The Grey Wolves led after one period on goals from Alec Tang and Rick Schwarzkopf, sandwiching a Vipers goal from J.D. Shoniker.
In  the second the Vipers tied things up with a goal from Jacob Kesela.
The teams traded goals in the third, with Grey Wolves scoring early, taking the lead on a goal from Ayann Khan; only to be caught midway through the period with another goal from Kesela.
With 1:05 to play the Wolves Tang had a breakaway and beat the goalie with his shot, but hit the post. His team's second post in the last five minutes.
The final score was a 3-3 tie.
