This contest featured some good defensive play by the Vipers early, and they were able to hold the Blizzard off the board and come out of the first period with a 0-0 tie.
In the second, the teams traded goals, with Evan Hughes putting the Blizzard in front and Marcus DeMaria tying things up for the Vipers.
In the final frame, Vipers goalie Oscar St. James-Kush made a number of key saves, keeping the score close. The white shirts finally broke through for three goals in the last two minutes - one each from Connor King, Adam Schooley and Daniel Tremblay, making the final 4-1 for the Blizzard.
This was a closer game than the final score would indicate, with the late goal scoring barrage from the Blizzard proving to be the difference at the very end of the game.
