This game would be a good test for the new and improved Vipers, having two wins and a tie in their last three games.


The blue shirts meanwhile, cruised through the first half of the schedule, with only one loss so far on the season.

The Vipers were without their regular goalie for this one, and had a call-up from the Blue Division Anthony Abboud in net. They also were down to only 12 skaters.

The Vipers scored first, with Lucas Bruce scoring exactly one minute into the game. Bruce, who was skating exceptionally well, thriving with the extra ice time, scored again in the opening period but this one was all Leafs.

The 5-2 final score would leave you to believe Abboud played poorly, but the opposite was the case. The Leafs were just much the better on this day.

Henry Barber led the way for the first place Leafs with a hat trick, while Vincent Thomson and Benito Ritacco added singles.
