The Black Beards were coming off a disappointing loss the night before, but scored twice in the first to take an early lead against their rivals the Vipers. Jacob Medeiros and Connor Southworth were the goal scorers.

When the yellow shirts got a goal from Matthew Nazaruk in the second period, the Beards answered right back with a goal from the previous night's hero Adrian Calleja to restore the two goal margin. Lucas Bruce scored to make it 3-2, the third goal in just over a minute, keeping the replacement time-keeper busy.

Nazaruk scored again late in the second to tie the score entering the final frame.

The Black Beards just kept on coming, getting goals from Southworth and Medeiros again to pull away to a convincing 5-3 victory in their last game of the regular season, leaving them entering the playoffs on a high.

The Vipers meanwhile, have a game at the end of the month for a chance to pull out of the basement just before the playoffs start.
