All season these two teams have flip-flopped back and forth for first place in the division.
Although there were no goals in the first period, there were scoring opportunities. The best chance came when Robert Szalay had a good rush and shot, but Leafs goalie Carter Wall made the save. Late in the period Henry Barber fired off a hard wrist shot, but this time Bulls goalie Tyler Jones made the save.
In the second, Max Holmes made a nice pass to team-mate Nicholas Riviglia and a spin around and shot put the blue shirts in front. Barber capped an end to end rush with his 12th goal of the season, a short-handed tally that seemed to deflate the Red Bulls.
Early in the third Noah Carson scored to make it a three goal margin, and Wall hung on for the shutout, his third of the season.
