The blue shirts scored the only goal of the first period, with Nicholas Riviglia showing off a fine wrist shot.

The Black Beards tied it up early in the second when Alex Dietrich's shot fooled a screened Leafs goaltender.

Sometimes the better players thrive with more ice time, and on this day that was certainly the case, with the line of Liam Murphy, Vincent Thomson and Henry Barber playing every second shift and flying out there. Murphy recorded a hat trick in the second period with Barber picking up two assists.

In the third the Leafs skaters seemed to tire a bit, but the Beards couldn't get a break and Riviglia scored again late to seal the 5-1 victory.
