The infamous pirate Black Beard was in the house once again to support the black shirts.

His team had two glorious scoring chances around the six minute mark of the first period. One going just wide, the other over the net.

Shortly after those two near misses, the Leafs capitalized on their best chance of the period when Nicholas Riviglia slid a shot nicely into the corner of the Black Beards net.

Early in the middle stanza Talon Mitchelson had a clear cut breakaway. He skated in on goal and calmly deked out the Leafs goalie to tie the game.

The Leafs went ahead when Noah Carson's long shot from the sideboards somehow got behind the Black Beards goal keeper. It was a difficult angle, and not a particularly hard shot, but that's how things have been going for the Beards.

In the third Sebastian McClay made a nice play to score a short-handed marker to tie things up once again, but on that same power play, only thirty seconds later Patrick Creange scored to restore the Leafs lead.

Beards' defenseman Luke Hoorntje was playing a good game on defense, moving the puck with confidence, clearing the zone well to keep his team in the game.

The Beards pulled their goalie with 45 seconds to play, and had a faceoff in the Leafs end, but were unable to get a shot on goal.

The regular season champion Leafs escaped with the 3-2 victory to remain undefeated in the playoffs.
