The Grey Wolves were the better team during the first period of this contest, with Leafs goalie Carter Wall stopping first Alec Tang and then Evan Romano on great chances, keeping the period scoreless.

In the second Wall made another good save on Tang, but Wolves goalie Miles Bowen matched it with a splendid kick save on a shot from Henry Barber, the league's regular season scoring leader.

The Leafs started to get their skating legs midway through the game, and rattled off three straight goals to end the second period up 3-0. Quinn Vorster, Connor Waters and Patrick Creange, enjoying a rare game at forward, all scored.

The Grey Wolves scored first in the third period, with Justin Dennis breaking Wall's shutout bid, but less than a minute later Barber scored to restore the three goal margin.

The Wolves scored again on a shot by Tang that Wall got a piece of but couldn't prevent from bouncing over the goal line, but could not get another, falling to two losses and one tie in this year's playoffs, and elimination from the Championship Game.

The grey shirts were undone by a lack of scoring (or hot opposing goalkeepers) with only two goals scored in the three playoff games.

The Leafs remain undefeated at 3-0. They face the Red Bulls and Vipers, two teams still in contention, in their remaining two playoff games.
