The Vipers dominated the first period, but thanks to some good play from Blizzard goalie Damien Rothgerber, were kept off the scoresheet until only two minutes remained when J.D. Shoniker dove to bang in a rebound.

The white shirts tied it up early in the middle period on a goal from their leading scorer Daniel Tremblay. Again the Vipers scored with less than two minutes remaining in the period to regain the lead, when Jacob Kesela's shot from the right wing bounced off the goalie's stick over his shoulder and into the net.

The Vipers weren't playing like a team ten points behind the Blizzard in the standings, and scored the only two goals of the final frame with markers from Tyler Davis and Lucas Bruce, making it a 4-1 final.
