The Blizzard, and the other teams in the league know the road to the Championship Game goes through the Leafs. The boys in the blue shirts played very well all year, only losing two games.

The Blizzard matched the Leafs with eight victories in sixteen games, but had five losses.

The blue shirts got on board first, when Noah Carson's shot was stopped, but line-mate Vincent Thomson banged home the rebound.

The Leafs goalie Carter Wall had a solid opening period.

Andrew Palucci, who was a force all game, was stopped twice, Daniel Tremblay's tip in attempt was turned away and Palucci hit the post in the period.

The Leafs got the only goal of the second from Benito Ritacco and the white shirts suffered a setback when their leading scorer left the game sick.

In the third, the Blizzard scored, but the goal was waved off because the net became dislodged. Palucci had a scoring chance once again, with four minutes remaining, but Wall made the save.

With just over a minute remaining Thomas Luc found an opening just inside the post breaking Wall's shutout bid and setting up an exciting finish. Unfortunately for the Blizzard, they never got out of their own zone long enough to pull the goalie for an attempt at the tie.
