The Red Bulls were playing in a tournament in Oshawa on Saturday, so needed to play this makeup game on the Friday night.

One point separated the two teams in the standings, so a close game was expected.

The first period was scoreless up until the last minute, when Robert Szalay scored while his team was short-handed. A nice wrist shot to open the scoring.

The Blizzard stormed the Bulls zone from the ensuing faceoff, with Connor King just missing an open net as the period ended.

Early in the second the Blizzard kept up the pressure, and Tyler Jones needed to make a couple of big saves.

At the other end, the Red Bulls kept jabbing at a puck in the crease and the persistence paid off, with Spencer Osborn making the score 2-0.

Midway through the period Ryan Schooley set up line mate Will Beattie to get within one, but the Bulls matched that with a goal from Lucas Marley to enter the third frame up by two.

The Blizzard drew within one on a goal from Daniel Tremblay but even with the goalie pulled and a man advantage for the last ten seconds, could not get the tying goal.
