The last game of the day was the most anticipated of this early season, with the two league leaders, both undefeated, facing off for first place.
Both teams gave up a goal scorer to help with the balance of power in the league and had new additions to their lineup.
One of those additions, Liam Murphy scored on a nice shot, making a good impression on his new coaching staff and teammates, but also putting the Leafs in front 1-0.
Early in the second Murphy picked up an assist when line-mate Henry Barber scored by banking a shot in off the post.
Late in the second the Bulls finally got on the scoreboard, with Devon Kinnaird scoring as time wound down in the period, bringing his team to within one.
The Leafs had lots of chances to score early in the third, but goalkeeper Tyler Jones made the saves to keep his team in the game.
Spencer Osborn got a clear cut breakaway from his own blue-line, but he failed to convert a chance to tie up the game for the red shirts.
Throughout the final period the play was mostly in the Bulls end, with Jones having to make the saves, or the Leafs shooting just wide.
As often happens though, despite being outplayed the Red Bulls got a break when Alexander Lawson got away at center ice, broke in on goal and made no mistake in tying up the game.
The 2-2 final score settled nothing, with both teams remaining undefeated on the season.
