The Blizzard carried the play through the scoreless first period and halfway through the second, but it was a breakaway from the Bulls blue-line, with Spencer Osborn completing the play with a goal, that drew first blood, putting the Red Bulls in front.
The Blizzard tied it up in the third, on a goal from Ryan Schooley, but less than a minute later Robert Szalay made a nice move at the blue line to get a clear shot on net and made no mistake in putting his team in front 2-1.
The Blizzard pulled their goalie late in an attempt to tie things up, and had some chances, but couldn't score.
