The Grey Wolves needed a victory to keep pace with the Red Bulls and Blizzard in the battle for second place in the division, while the Black Beards were still looking for that elusive second victory.

The Wolves got the only goal of the first period from Evan Romano, with assists from Justin Dennis and Michael Leonard. The Black Beards only shot of the period came with two minutes remaining, while at the other end goalkeeper Sebastian De Silva was under steady attack, making save after save to keep his team in the game.

The Beards played better in the second, with a goal from Jacob Medeiros. The Wolves got the go-ahead marker and eventual winning goal when Kyle Kornelson's centering pass from behind the net hit De Silva in the back and bounced in.

The Grey Wolves scored two more in the third, with Kornelson getting his second and Jake Barth putting the icing on the cake.
