A tighter game than the final score would indicate.
The Vipers took the early lead, with two goals in the first period. One from Jacob Kosela and the other from Matthew Nazaruk.
The Grey Wolves had a chance with two minutes left in the frame when Jake Barth broke in all alone, but the Vipers goalie Oscar St. James-Kush stood tall and made the save.
Rocco Commisso scored the lone goal in the second period. The Vipers had a good scoring chance late in the period that was broken up by a good back-checking effort by Alec Tang.
Halfway through the third period Marcelo Chaman scored to tie the game and the momentum visibly shifted. From then on the play was all in the Vipers end, and Sasha Hanson and Chaman again scored to pull away with a decisive 4-2 victory.
