Terrific 5-5 Tie
Great take off for the Jets and a not so bad landing.

Just under two minutes into the first, Morris pops one in the top right corner with Ferrari doing some fancy stick work.  Five minutes left in the first saw Ferrari sweep a wide pass in the deep end with Foss stuffing it in.

The second period saw the Jets take a 3-0 lead as Morris passes it from behind the net to trigger-ready Ferrari to fill the net with another puck. Line mate Nott fended off the opponents while it all transpired.

Then the Jets hit some turbulence with three minutes left in the second. The jets started to tire as three key players were missing plus Simonot got side lined with an injury.

The Jets played shorthanded for an interference penalty allowing the Lumberjacks to advance to a 3-2 score. Seems we were rattled a little as 20 seconds into the third the score became 3-3. Another minute saw the Lumberjacks command a 4-3 lead.

But Rusak kept his cool by stopping a fast pace knuckle-biting breakaway! The Lumberjacks obviously ate their Wheaties in the morning to make it 5 to 3.

But the Jet’s afterburners kicked in with McCoy scoring from the aid of Morris and Riberio. Our defense let some heavy boomers go from the point with heavy thuds bouncing off the Lumberjack’s goalie throughout the game.

Minutes left in the game, Coach Brian made it clear, “we aren’t out yet!” And sure enough Nott scores with the assist from Rasquin. Well done team!
