The Oakville Rangers Bantam AAA hockey team
continue to add to their collection of victories. The 2002 AAA team,
captured the championship of the prestigious Toronto Marlboros
International Classic on December 30th, 2016 in dramatic fashion
with a victory in double overtime versus the Ottawa 67s.
The Rangers are the first team in recent history to capture this championship by winning eight straight games, a feat few team have ever been able to accomplish. In addition to their victory over Ottawa in the finals, the Rangers defeated Detroit Little Caesars, ISS Kings, and San Diego Gulls in the playoff rounds. The victory was a true team effort against some of the best teams and competition from across North America.
Ranger, Luke Evangelista #22, was awarded the Marlies MVP Trophy.

The Rangers 2002 AAA team is now approaching their playoffs in pursuit of their fifth OMHA Championship and third OHF appearance.
The Bantam AAA team is coached by Gord Hynes, and assistant coaches, Jaan Luik, Kris Halinen and Glen MacDonald.
Team members are: Adam Cherepacha, Cameron Garvey, Cameron Tolnai, Chase Strychaluk, Davis Tolnai, Ethan Ritchie, Jake Murray, James Gowland, JP Parente, Luke Evangelista, Marco Latassa, Nathan Ribau, Owen Luik, Patrick Stewart, Robbie Strachan, Ryan Brown and Zack Terry.
