This Oakville Rangers U16 AE team had an incredible amount of adversity this season. Regardless, they were determined to win a championship
The team fought through this weekend's OMHA tourney in Barrie as the underdogs with their "Drive for Five" motto and the "Why Not US?!" attitude. They built momentum the entire weekend and after an incredible 2-1 victory Saturday night over the recent Tri-County Champs from Milton, they were determined to prove to everyone that they would not be denied.
In the finals Sunday afternoon vs. season rivals Orangeville, they went down early 0-1 but came back to tie the game at the end of the first period, take the lead 2-1 in the early part of the second period, then 3-1 heading into the third. In the third , Orangeville tried everything to fight back but on this day our boys would not be denied getting a late goal to seal the 4-2 victory. What an amazing weekend!
