Meet the Coach
Born and raised in Toronto, Eddie Choi grew up playing hockey in the MTHL since the age of 5. Before dedicating his life to teaching and mentoring, Eddie captained the Toronto Marlboros to five consecutive MTHL championships from Atom through Midget as a player in the GTHL and was later awarded a four-year scholarship to Ohio State University, playing four seasons for the Buckeyes.

Eddie Choi Hockey Inc. began in 1998 to share his love of the game by motivating and teaching players to become more effective team and individual hockey players. Eddie has coached for 20 years, with experience at all levels in minor hockey including AAA and is also a teacher with the HCDSB.

Eddie believes hockey teaches life lessons, such as accountability, resilience and working with others.

About the Program
The U10 AA Blue team will be built with players who show strong work ethic, high intensity, coachability and competitiveness. The program will focus on skill development, team fundamentals and systems.

The team will practice 2-3 times per week, including power skating/skills sessions, plus weekly games, and will compete in four tournaments throughout the season.

Work hard and success will come. 100% or nothing!

Coaching Staff
Assistant Coach: Daniel Bruno
Daniel Bruno grew up playing hockey in the GTHL since the age of 4. Daniel played all levels of rep hockey, including AAA for the Toronto Marlboros and North York Rangers, captaining several of his teams. He then played Junior A in the OPJHL. Daniel also attended St. Michael's College School where he played hockey for 4 years.

While playing, Daniel worked part-time as a lead instructor for various hockey schools, specializing in skills development and power skating. Unfortunately, injuries shortened his playing career, so Daniel turned his focus and passion for hockey into coaching and skill development.

Daniel understands the importance of being a positive leader for children and the impact it has on their growth and development. He believes the best environment for kids to learn and grow should be a fun and positive one. Daniel values hard work and accountability, and believes hockey teaches life lessons such as winning and losing, working with others/teammates and living with the outcomes of your decisions.

This will be Daniel's fourth year coaching with the Oakville Rangers Hockey Club, having last served as Head Coach for the U9 MD3 team.
