If you are looking for fun team activities on the Friday and Saturday night of the Winter Classic tourney, then read on as we have 2 great team events that are FREE!
Friday Night, January 17: One of the highlights of the tournament is the Oakville Blades Junior A game. Packed house, live band, Puckz Sports Pub, the BarDown Swag Store, the Hockey Village with interactive games and vendors, the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibits, the NHL’s top individual trophies and a great game! So, this year, we are back!
The Oakville Blades take on the King Rebellion on Friday, January 17 at 7:00PM at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex. The classic-rock-cover-band 5 Hole will again be playing before the game, between periods and post game. It is a great time!
We have secured 1,500 tickets for the game. So, IF your team does not have a game scheduled on Friday and you/your team want to attend a fun, FREE hockey event then please email tickets@oakvillerangers.ca with your team name/age group/division, your contact information and the number of tickets you would like to request.
Saturday Night, January 18: New this year is the U16 AAA Showcase that is not to be missed. Featuring the #1, #2 and #3 U16 AAA teams in Canada (Don Mills Flyers, Toronto Titans and the Toronto Junior Canadiens) + the #1 and #4 U16 AAA teams from the United States (Shattuck St. Mary’s and Mount St. Charles Hockey Academy). You want to see crazy good hockey and future NHLers? Don’t miss this! The action starts at 5:30PM and runs until 11:00PM with 4 games in a row.
There are no tickets for this event – just show up and if we reach capacity then you can still enjoy all the action in the Hockey Village.
This all happens again at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex where the classic rock band 5 Hole will be playing + Puckz Sports Pub, the BarDown Swag Store, the Hockey Village with interactive games and vendors, the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibits and the NHL’s top individual trophies.
We know that many teams have tournament games scheduled both nights and so will be unable to attend any of these extras. Unfortunately, that can't be helped as we have 342 teams playing 750 games in 58 hours. Yikes!
Again, tickets are FREE for the Friday night Blades game; they will be allocated on a 1st come, 1st served basis and WILL sell out. Act now!
