Regional Silver Stick Champs!
The Oakville Atom A Red Rangers were the Silver Stick Champions at the Regional Silver Stick Tournament held in Pelham, ON Dec 27-29, 2013. The Rangers defeated their arch rivals, the Burlington Eagles, by a score of 3-1 in the final game to win the championship. In the tournament, the Rangers went undefeated winning all 5 of their games and outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 33-5.
As a result of winning this tournament, Atom A Red has been invited to participate in the International Silver Stick Finals which are to be held in Sarnia, Ontario January 17-19, 2014.
Members of the team include Jordan Woods, Ryan Mendelssohn, Ben Seifer, Alex Lardis, Connor Crane, Joe Penman, Andrew Kranjac, Michael Doherty, Landon Quinn, Dylan Garner, Jacob Gawronski, Brant Angove, Mitchell Adams, Symon Reddin, Brody Simpson, Dylan Sheridan & Christian Di Salvo. The head coach of the team is Don Simpson. Bryan Angove and Steve Doherty are the assistant coaches, and Paul Kranjac is the team manager/trainer.
