The Vipers Oscar St. James-Kush was feeling ill, and a replacement goalie was ready to sub in during the third period, but Oscar toughed it out and finished the game, which ended in a 1-1 tie.
The Vipers scored only five goals in the five playoff games. They finished in a three-way tie for third place. The yellow shirts improved as the season went on, but it was their offence that let them down during the playoffs. Their goals against was the lowest of all six teams.
