Minor Peewee AE Rangers Off to the OMHA Finals
After a stirring comeback in Game 5 of their Semi-Final series against Guelph, the Minor PeeWee AE Rangers are off to the OMHA Finals.  Down 3-0 early, the Rangers showed off their never-say-die attitude, chipping away at Guelph’s lead with two power-play goals, before finally moving ahead in the 3rd period with a 4-3 advantage they would not relinquish.

The amazing comeback capped off a stunner of a series, with the teams exchanging road victories in games 1 through 4, including two overtime battles.  Guelph physical play put the Rangers to the test, but the boys relied on their resilience, team speed and skill, and strong goaltending to pull off the victory.  After two tournament victories this season (including the Oakville Richard Bell Memorial Tournament), a strong showing in the Tri-County Qualifying round, a sweep of Ancaster in the quarter-finals, and the big win over their Guelph rivals, the boys are primed for the OMHA Finals against Aurora.

The Minor PeeWee AE Rangers are Tyler Bolender, Michael Chornous, Shane Dormer, Simon Dowd, Joshua Finkle, Samuel Holmes, Nolan Johnson, Joshua Nesbitt, Mark Novakovic, Anthony O’Coin, Matthew Perry, Thomas Rea, Logan Reid, Travis Robertson, Jackson Round, Aiden Sholdice, and Sam Swatuk. Brent Robertson, Matt Nesbitt, Paul Dormer, Bill Bolender, and Tony Rea coach the team.  Jeff Sholdice is the team trainer.
