WITHDRAW & REFUND POLICY:
All Withdraw, Refund, and Cancellation requests must be submitted using our Online Form
https://oakvillerangers.ca/Forms/6302/Registration_Refund_Request/. Refunds will only be issued on requests received prior to October 31st and will be granted according to the date that the application is received in the ORHC office. An administration fee will be applied to all refunds as per the below schedule:

* Prior to August 1st: $50 admin fee
* Prior to September 1st: $75 admin fee
* After September 1st: $100 admin fee

Requests for refunds will not be accepted after October 31st. All refunds are processed by cheque and can either be picked up at the ORHC Office during regular business hours or mailed to you.

TAX RECEIPTS:
The Canadian Children's Fitness Tax Credit is a non-refundable tax credit which allows parents claim up to $1000 in eligible fees for enrolling a child under 16 in an eligible program of physical activity. If you were a returning player and registered online you can request a tax receipt at any time by logging in to your Hockey Canada Profile – click here. If you were a first year Player and registered manually please email Cassy Goulart at [email protected] to request a receipt.

SAME TEAM & COACH REQUEST:
If you would like to be placed on a team with a sibling or a friend please click here to fill out and submit a Friend Request. Please note, there is absolutely no guarantee what so ever that your request can be met. The fact is, more often than not these requests actually cannot be accommodated. As much as we would like to place the kids on teams with all of their friends, the ORHC's first priority is creating teams that are fairly balanced and competitive, in an attempt to ensure that every player in the Association has a fair and equitable season. Priority is given to requests for siblings to be on the same team. Please also note that Friend Requests (this does not apply to Siblings) must come from BOTH sides. For example, it is not enough for Johnny to submit a Friend Request to be on a team with Janey - Janey also has to submit a request to be on a team with Johnny. Same team requests WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED after August 15th.

PARENT RESPECT IN SPORT COURSE MANDATE:

DO NOT Complete the RIS Course unless directed to do so by the ORHC Office!!

As per the 2014 OMHA Mandate, all parents must complete the Parent Respect in Sport online course in order for their child to be eligible to play. This is a one-time only requirement and is completed after the registration. Only one parent needs to complete the course. Players whose parent has not completed the RIS Course will not be allowed on the ice. Please click here for more information.

HOUSE LEAGUE EVALUATIONS:
Current ORHC Players that have just completed their Minor Novice, Novice, Minor Atom, or Atom season in either the Blue or White Divisions will be invited to attend a Spring Evaluation in April – please click here for more information. Tyke, Novice, Minor Atom, and Atom Players that are new to the ORHC will be required to attend the Fall Evaluation in September. Players that attend the Spring Evaluations in April are not required to attend the Fall Evaluations, but they do have the option of being re-evaluated if they so choose. If you attended the Spring Evaluations and, come September, would like to be re-evaluated please email [email protected] with your information and an explanation of why you would like to be re-evaluated.

All Minor Peewee, Peewee, Minor Bantam, and Bantam Players will be evaluated during the Fall Evaluations, both new and returning players. There is no Spring or Fall Evaluation for Minor Midget, Midget, or Juvenile aged players.

You must be registered for the 2020/21 Season to attend the Fall Evaluations

The House League evaluations are a critical component to creating competitively balanced, fair and equitable Divisions within the Association. Please ensure you make the effort to attend the evaluations at your designated time. All Players will be emailed prior to the Evaluations (both Spring and Fall) with your exact Evaluation Date/Times, and the information will also be posted on the ORHC Website – check back regularly for updates. If your Division’s tryout is within the next 48 hours and you have not received an email advising you of your exact time please email [email protected] for assistance.

HOUSE LEAGUE SCHEDULES:
The ORHC works hard to post the House League schedule as early as possible. With thousands of players on over 200 House League Teams, on the ice an average of twice a week, and scattered across 8 arenas and 17 ice surfaces… Creating this schedule is a massive project with many, many factors to be taken in to account and several moving parts. The schedule will be posted to the ORHC website in September but it will be tentative and subject to change without notice until October 31st.

The House League season typically begins in early October and runs until March. Most Divisions (there are a few exceptions) have one game and one practice a week. Once you have registered and attended your Evaluation Skate you will be assigned to a team. Team Coaches will then reach out to their Players to let you know what team you have been placed on. If you have not heard from a Coach by September 28th please contact the House League Executives at [email protected] for assistance.

VOLUNTEERING:
Interested in volunteering?? We are always looking for people to help out. You can help out an hour or two a week, or you can really dive in and pick up some of the heavy lifting – it’s up to you! And you don’t have to be a “hockey person” to help out – there are roles that need some hockey knowledge, of course, but there are administrative and managerial roles as well. If you are interested in volunteering with your child’s team and / or Division, thank you!! Please click here to fill out and submit the Volunteer Application. We will get in touch with you when we receive the application to talk about how and where you can help out.
