All Withdraw, Refund, and Cancellation requests must be submitted using our Online Form (please click here). Refunds will only be issued on requests received prior to October 31st and will be granted according to the date that the application is received in the ORHC office. An administration fee will be applied to all refunds as per the below schedule:

  • Prior to August 1st: $50 admin fee
  • Prior to September 1st: $75 admin fee
  • After September 1st: $100 admin fee

Requests for refunds will not be accepted after October 31st. All refunds are processed by cheque and can either be picked up at the ORHC Office during regular business hours or mailed to you.

Tax Receipts
The Canadian Children's Fitness Tax Credit is a non-refundable tax credit which allows parents to claim up to $1000 in eligible fees for enrolling a child under 16 in an eligible program of physical activity. If you were a returning player and registered online you can request a tax receipt at any time by logging in to your Hockey Canada Profile – click here. If you were a first year Player and registered manually please email Karen Pike at [email protected]ngers.ca to request a receipt.

Same Team & Specific Coach Requests
If you would like to be placed on a team with a sibling, a friend, or with a certain coach please submit your request via email to [email protected]. Please note, there is absolutely no guarantee what so ever that your request can be met. The fact is, more often than not these requests actually cannot be accommodated. As much as we would like to place the kids on teams with all of their friends, our first priority is creating teams that are fairly balanced and competitive, in an attempt to ensure that every player in the Association has a fair and equitable season. Priority is given to requests for siblings to be on the same team.

Parent Respect In Sport Course Mandate

Do Not Complete the RIS Course unless directed to do so by the ORHC Office

As per the 2014 OMHA Mandate, all parents must complete the Parent Respect in Sport online course in order for their child to be eligible to play. This is a one-time only requirement and is completed after the registration. Only one parent needs to complete the course. Players whose parent has not completed the RIS Course will not be allowed on the ice. Please click here for more information.

House League Evaluations
There will be no Spring Evaluations this season - all Evaluations will be happening in the Fall, in early September. All House League players in Divisions that will be evaluated will receive an email in mid August advising them of the Evaluation Schedule. Please note that players entering Minor Midget, Midget, and Juvenile do not attend Evaluation Skates. If you have not received your Evaluation Schedule by August 25th, 2019 please notify the House League VPs by emailing [email protected].

You must be registered for the 2018/19 Season to attend the Fall Evaluations

The House League evaluations are a critical component to creating competitively balanced, fair and equitable Divisions within the Association. Please ensure you make the effort to attend the evaluations at your designated time.

House League Schedules
The ORHC works hard to post the House League schedule as early as possible. With thousands of players on well over 200 House League Teams, on the ice an average of twice a week, and scattered across 8 arenas and 17 ice surfaces… Creating this schedule is a massive project with many, many factors to be taken in to account and several moving parts. The schedule will be posted to the ORHC website in September, but it will be tentative and subject to change without notice until October 31st.

The House League season typically begins in early October and runs until March. Most Divisions (there are a few exceptions) have one game and one practice a week. Once you have registered and attended your Evaluation Skate you will be assigned to a team. Team Coaches will then reach out to their Players to let you know what team you have been placed on. If you have not heard from a Coach by September 28th please contact the House League Executives at [email protected] for assistance.

Volunteering
Volunteers are the lifeblood and backbone of the Oakville Rangers. We are always looking for people to help out, be it on the bench, during practice, as a Manager or Convenor, and more! You can help out an hour or two a week, or you can really dive in and pick up some of the heavy lifting – it’s really up to you! And you don’t have to be a “hockey person” to help out – there are roles that need some hockey knowledge, of course, but there are administrative and managerial roles as well. If you are interested in volunteering with your child’s team and / or Division, thank you!! Please click here to fill out and submit the Volunteer Application. We will get in touch with you soon to talk about how and where you can help out and to get the ball rolling!
