Took a Pounding
What can you say about today. We were pounded. The opposition players in front of the net
were not picked up by anyone and we mustered 10 shots. Even though we had sustained pressure in their
end for a few extended periods, we couldn’t get shots. You
will not win many games much less score a goal with that combination. We will regroup and try again next week.
The boys were given homework which is to think of things they can do to produce shots. It will be interesting to see what they come up with. If we are ever up 4 goals towards the end of the third, please stop freaking out when we score our 5th and 6th goals.
The lone bright spot in the game were some of the heads up passes Andrew made to wide open wingers. I love when I see players eyes before they fire the puck up the ice. Andrew earned player of the game for that. Well done on the heads up passes. That’s all for this week.
