The Wolverines earned their first point on the weekend but were not in a celebratory mood.
The boys played hard against the 2-0 opposition falling behind 1-0 in the second period. The Wolverines played a much better positional game than they had in the previous two starts. The Wolverines not only tied the game but were able to pull ahead in the third. With only 22 seconds left on the clock and the opposition goalie pulled, the score was tied. The game finished in a tie but the boys were not satisfied.
The wolverines are playing much better than the record indicates losing two games within the final two minutes. The boys are beginning to figure out their positions, recognize situations, and taking more shots. They have come a long way in only three games. I have nothing but confidence they will continue to improve their team play, positional play, and taking advantage of the abundant scoring opportunities that they are getting. They are a fast, hard working, team and it will come together for them.
They don't know what quit means......they are hockey players.....they are 11 years old....they are Wolverines!
