Groundhog Day!
It felt like another scene from Bill Murray's Groundhog Day. Another 2 minutes remaining meltdown for the Wolverines. The 2 minute mark seems to be the team's kryptonite.
A very hard fought game was once again decided in the final 2 minutes with a go ahead goal and an empty netter with only a few seconds remaining to seal the deal. The Wolverines have been the hard luck team of the season and will, hopefully, only grow from these borderline losses and ties.
The lack of scoring has been the team's Achilles Heel and that will eventually change. This is a team reminiscent of the Ice Dogs of a few years ago who had the exact same type of start. That team would never say quit, worked hard all season long, and turned it around to win the championship in the Spring. The Wolverines are on the same path and will continue to work on the weak areas of their games in order to eradicate the 2 minute curse!
